1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales of goods by Parkhouse Pet Supplies (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the customer (“you”, “your”). By placing an order with us, whether via our website, by telephone, or via email, you agree to be bound by these terms. We are located at Unit C4, Marabout Industrial Estate, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1YA.

2. Ordering and Acceptance

2.1 Website Orders: An order placed on our website constitutes an offer to buy. We will send an automated order acknowledgement; however, a contract is only formed when we dispatch the goods or send a formal order confirmation.
2.2 Telephone/Email Orders: Prices quoted over the phone or by email are valid for 24 hours unless otherwise stated.
2.3 Order Rejection: We reserve the right to decline any order for reasons including, but not limited to, pricing errors, out-of-stock items, or delivery restrictions to your area.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Currency: All prices are in Pounds Sterling (£).
3.2 Taxes: For retail customers, prices displayed include VAT where applicable. For trade customers, prices may be quoted exclusive of VAT but will be clearly marked.
3.3 Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time. However, the price confirmed at the time of your order will be the price you pay, except in cases of manifest error.
3.4 Payment: Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering unless you have a pre-approved trade credit account with us. We accept major credit/debit cards and other methods as shown at checkout.

4. Delivery (Great Britain Only)

4.1 Scope: We deliver to addresses within Great Britain only.
4.2 Timing: We aim to dispatch orders placed before 12:00 PM for next-day delivery, though delivery may take up to 48 hours. All delivery dates are estimates and not guarantees.
4.3 Risk: Risk of damage or loss passes to you upon delivery to the address provided.
4.4 Errors/Non-delivery: You must notify us within 3 days of the expected delivery date if your goods have not arrived or if the consignment is short.

5. Consumer Cancellation Rights (The "Cooling Off" Period)

5.1 Right to Cancel: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, retail consumers have the right to cancel an order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods.
5.2 Exclusions: This right does not apply to:

  • Perishable goods (such as fresh or frozen pet food).

  • Personalised or made-to-order items.

  • Items where the seal has been broken (e.g., opened bags of pet food, medical supplements, or hygiene products).
5.3 Returns Condition: Goods must be returned unopened, in their original packaging, and in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to reduce your refund if the goods show signs of handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them.

6. Trade and Business Sales (B2B)

6.1 Application: This section applies if you are buying goods for the purpose of your trade, business, or profession.
6.2 Returns: The "Cooling Off" period (Section 5) does not apply to business customers. Returns are at our sole discretion and may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
6.3 Title: Ownership of the goods remains with Parkhouse Pet Supplies until we have received payment in full for all sums due. Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, we reserve the right to repossess goods if payment is not made by the due date.

7. Faulty or Damaged Goods

7.3 Remedy: If a product is faulty, we will offer a replacement, a repair, or a full refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

8. Return Logistics

8.1 Cost of Return: Unless the item is faulty or was sent in error, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us.
8.2 Proof of Postage: We strongly recommend using a tracked service. We cannot issue a refund for items that do not reach us.
