2017 Pillitteri Cabernet Merlot

A harmonious marriage An exciting marriage of Cabernet Franc (80%) and Merlot (20%). The result is a balanced, uncomplicated and well-structured red wine from VQA Niagara Peninsula in Canada. In total, this cuvée was matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.   What does pillitteri’s Cabernet Merlot taste like? The Cabernet Merlot by Pillitteri beguiles with fine aromas of black cherries, raspberry confit and plums, accompanied by liquorice notes, vanilla and black pepper. On the palate, this Canadian wine is full-bodied and dense, with smooth tannins and a present, well-supporting acidity. This Bordeaux blend already convinces as a soloist, but we like it even better as a versatile food companion.
